Email Identity
Email Identity settings let you manage the email addresses used for outreach. Every outbound email -- bulk sends, individual replies -- is sent from one of your configured identities.
Navigate to Settings > Email Identity in the sidebar.
How it works
When you join an organization, the platform assigns you a default outreach email address. You can optionally add a custom domain for a more professional sending experience. Here's how the pieces fit together:

Every user gets a platform-assigned outreach email in the format:
{your-handle}-{unique-code}@outreach.aceinfluence.aiThis address is your default sending identity and works immediately -- no DNS configuration needed.
Setting up your outreach email
- Go to Settings > Email Identity.
- Choose your personal handle (e.g.
john-doe). A unique code is generated automatically based on your account. - Review the preview address.
- Click Confirm & Lock.
You get one chance to customize your personal handle before locking. After confirmation, the address is permanent. The unique code is generated from your account and cannot be changed after setup.
Handle rules: lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. Max 20 characters. Cannot start or end with a hyphen.
Custom Domain Identity
For a more professional appearance, you can send from your own domain (e.g. outreach@mail.acme.com). This requires a verified custom domain.
Creating a custom domain identity
- First, set up and verify your domain.
- Go to Settings > Email Identity. You'll see a prompt to create a custom domain identity.
- Click Create. The identity is generated using your personal handle and the verified domain.
Editing
- Email (local part): Click the pencil icon to change the part before
@(e.g. changejohntosales). The domain part stays fixed. A confirmation dialog is shown since this affects future outreach. - Display name: Click the pencil icon to change how your name appears to recipients (e.g. "John from Acme").
Default Identity
One identity is your default, used for new bulk sends and new outreach conversations. To change it:
- Find the identity you want in the list.
- Click Set as Default and confirm.
Switching only affects future sends. Queued bulk sends and existing conversations continue using their original identity.
