Creating a Collaboration

This guide explains how to create a collaboration with a content creator.

Two ways collaborations are created

1. Automatically from email replies

When a creator replies to your outreach email, the platform can automatically create a collaboration linking the email thread to that creator. This happens in the background — when you open the Inbox and view the thread, you'll see the associated collaboration already created.

This is the most common path: send outreach → creator replies → collaboration is created automatically → negotiate terms in the platform.

2. Manually

You can also create collaborations manually at any time:

  • When a creator has responded positively outside the platform (e.g., by phone or through another channel).
  • When you want to track a partnership that started before using Ace Influence.
  • When you want to set up collaboration details before a creator has responded.

TIP

You can create a collaboration for any creator in your Creator Pool, even if the initial contact happened outside the platform.

How to create a collaboration manually

  1. Navigate to Collaborations in the sidebar, or open a campaign and go to the Collaborations tab.
  2. Click New Collaboration.
  3. Fill in the collaboration details:
    • Creator — Select the creator from your Creator Pool.
    • Campaign — Link the collaboration to a specific campaign.
    • Deliverables — Describe what the creator will produce. Specify the post type (e.g., TikTok video, Instagram Reel, YouTube Shorts) and quantity (e.g., "2 TikTok videos + 1 Instagram Reel"). Include any content requirements such as talking points, hashtags, or attribution keywords.
    • Compensation — Specify the payment terms: fixed fee, commission, product exchange, or a combination. Note that Ace Influence records the agreed terms but does not process payments — payment is handled between you and the creator directly.
    • Timeline — Set deadlines for content delivery.
    • Additional terms — Any other conditions or requirements (exclusivity, usage rights, revision policy, etc.).
  4. Save the collaboration.

The collaboration starts in Pending status and can be advanced through the collaboration lifecycle as the partnership progresses.

Linking collaborations to campaigns

Every collaboration should be linked to a campaign. This allows you to:

  • View all collaborations for a campaign in one place.
  • Track campaign-level metrics across all collaborations.
  • Manage outreach and collaborations together within the campaign context.
  • Include creator content in Campaign Analytics for ROI calculation.
